Playstation Ps3 – The Best Console

It’s real simple folks. The Playstation PS3is hands down the best console on the market. It has a remarkably simple setup, very elegant in it’s hardware/software design and has shimmering 1080p graphics at a liquid 60fps.

The wireless network is built in, and takes seconds to set up and get online. The Playstation Network (PSN) is free to use for access to the PSN store and various other features. My wife and I have already rented a couple of movies from the PSN, and purchased a few smaller games via the network.

The Playstation PS3is also Netflix ready for instant streaming of movies and TV shows.

I also use my Windows7 machine as a media server, so I can pull pictures/music/videos directly to our HDTV. How convenient!! Yes, this box really “ONLY DOES EVERYTHING!”

And keep this in mind.. the Playstation PS3contains a BluRay player that will be fully capable of 3D 1080p games Summer 2010, and 3D 1080p movies Fall 2010 via a free firmware upgrade. Note that in order to play digital 3D games/movies, you will need to have the Playstation PS3connected via HDMI to one of the new Sony 3D HDTV’s coming out Summer 2010. The PS3 is a true specced out 3D BluRay device, and in fact is Sony’s BluRay 3D standard.

Also, look carefully at the game selection for the PS3 as well, and you’ll see that the PS3 has the finest selection of top shelf games available on any console. I’d recommend “UNCHARTED 1 and UNCHARTED 2″ as showcase games for the Playstation PS3.

Playstation PS3 – Nice Gaming Console

I have had my PSP3 Slim for about 3 months. I bought it initially to have a Blu Ray player. It plays the Blu Ray movies very nicely. Their quality is excellent. On regular DVD’s the upconversion could be better but it is adequate. I read all the reviews on Amazon before I bought and had a bit of concern because of the concerns by others about it running hot and/or loud. I do not find the machine to run overly hot or loudly.

I consider the PSP3 to be well worth the money and have no regrets for having made the purchase. Even though I bought my PSP3 for movies, I have found myself caught up in several of the game offerings – especially the Uncharted series.

Playstation PS3 – New to Console Gaming

I’m not a “gamer” and have not owned a dedicated gaming system since the early days of Atari… though I have played numerous games on PC over the years. Decided to get a Playstation PS3for a basement game room area, and am very happy with the choice.

Other, more experienced people have already provided some very good in depth reviews here, so I won’t try to duplicate them. Perhaps the value I can offer would be to those who are not savy gamers, but are considering a system. The Playstation PS3brings a lot to the table, especially if you are on the fence about buying a game system. The dual-role it plays as a Blu-Ray disc player makes it a very productive tool. The ability to download or stream movies directly from Netflix is also a nice plus. The built-in wireless was easy to configure.

It takes very little time to learn the basics and get things going. The controller is pretty intuitive once you learn a few basic rules. The unit also has a small and sleek footprint as well as a nice asthetic look.

Highly recommended for “gamer” and “non-gamers” alike!
